The Marseille–Luminy Screening Platform (PCML) is actively involved in various fields of antiviral research and drug design. Our services are designed to be modular and flexible, enabling researchers to choose the most suitable support formats (collaborative projects, fee-for-service, etc.).

PCML offers its expertise at several levels:

• Production/purification of viral enzymes (enzymes library dedicated to Flavivirus and Coronavirus)
• Screening of inhibitors targeting viral proteins and enzymes
• Biochemical characterization of viral enzymes
• Screening of inhibitors of protein–protein or protein–ligand interactions
• Miniaturization of biochemical assays for high-throughput screening

Chemical libraries available for screening:

• Internal collections developed at the AFMB laboratory
• Oriented and target-focused chemical libraries
• Custom synthesis of tailored libraries and SAR (Structure–Activity Relationship) studies

Development of new technologies:

• Miniaturization and optimization of assays
• Fluorescence-based screening techniques
• Development of homogeneous assays (e.g., HTRF)

The platform can also perform inhibitory activity screening of internal compounds on your target enzyme—or vice versa, screen your compound libraries on enzymes provided by PCML. For more information: AFMB-Criblage.

PCML is part of a collaborative network labelled by IBISA, ChemBioFrance, and the Aix-Marseille Technology Platform initiative. Since 2005, this network has included PCML, the Marseille-Timone viral screening platform (PCVMT, led by F.Touret), and the High throughput Screening facility from CRCM (HiTS, led by X. Morelli). Together, these platforms offer complementary expertise and form a dynamic interface that facilitates the successful development and optimization of research projects.
